The Story of Forgetting

I stopped reading this book today. I was on page 205 when I decided I didn't want to go on. It started out really promising, and I actually like the writing, but when I was reading it today I felt like he had been saying nothing new for the past twenty pages. The writing itself is sophisticated, even though I thought he tried too hard at times, and the author seems to have done an astonishing amount of research. For the biggest part this book was much to my liking, I wish I had the brain and the talent to write a first novel like this. Nevertheless, I lost interest in the story towards the last quarter.
