My old room. I always enjoy coming home and spending time in here, each time I discover things that make me smile, sometimes even things that I thought lost a long time ago. It's like a time machine, because most of the things that are in my old room now have been in there for many many years. I don't know, not too many things ever change in here.
The last major change I can think of is the purchase of an old four by three Sony television set. I bought it from an even older man who had used it in his guest room. When I asked him why he was selling it, he smiled and said that he never had any guests. I bought it for twenty-four Euros. That was about two years ago and I have barely used it.
There's my old stereo with the double tape deck. Ah yes, music cassettes, glorious times of carefully mixed ninety minute tapes and daily mobile walkman action. I remember the last real cassette tape that I bought for support. I was in Munich and had missed Dj Sepalot's gig the previous night. I was upset and just had to go and buy his latest mixtape.
On the wall there's a book shelf, over there another one, and there, now on the floor, a third one. The wooden ikea pieces hold paperbacks and hardcovers from all over the place. I don't own that many books yet, but I won't deny a certain feeling of pride when I think about my little collection of books, for me they're a small treasure filled with the richest stories.
