Every skateboarder, no matter where in the world, will have at least a dozen skate mags that he cherishes more than his first stolen issue of Playboy. And that's because the skateboard magazine as a medium becomes the bible of everything, the holiest of the holiest. It's a textbook that educates us on style, writing, photography, everything. Kids become collectors before they even know it. Parents are relieved, because their kids are reading at least something. Today there's a lot of new publications, while others have sadly died or changed into commercial whores, but that's another story. Here's my top five skateboard magazines.
1. Unsung Magazine, Korea (obviously)
2. 43!, US
3. Grey, UK
4. Anzeigeberlin, Germany
5. Color Magazine, Canada
