This is the first book from the five volumes of essays that Murakami Haruki has released not too long ago. It's not the first volume - I don't think there is an order to them -, just the first one that I got. The many little episodes are accompanied by fun illustrations by Mizumaru Anzai. What I like most about this book is that it's all original pieces from the early to mid-eighties. I like his longer works, too, but I definitely enjoy these essays a lot.
