When was the last time you met someone you haven't seen for a very long time? Today I met So-Young from back in the days. It must have been seven or eight years since we've last met, perhaps even longer. We used to go to Korean school together, every Saturday in Bonn, with K and the others. Then we kind of got lost in other stuff that life had prepared for each of us.
Now we are pretty much scattered all over the place. K is in Austria, So-Young now back in Germany, then me still here, and who knows where all the other guys are. Kuhni, Jitae and Kaya. Eunhye, Chanmi and Peri. Every now and then you read or see something on the computer screen, but it's been years since we've actually met. I hope everyone's busy and leading a happy life.
A few days ago I read that So-Young was in London, following the steps of Robert Downey Jr.. We got in touch and managed to meet today after dinner. We met at Leicester Square and walked and talked past Chinatown and through the mazy streets of Soho. So much fun to catch up, she does some really amazing stuff, and I hope the rest of the old bunch will hook up soon as well.
