I like taking the train, even though the tickets are ridiculously overprized. First of all because there's no unnecessary waiting, and the local short-distance ones are mostly relyable. You just check the timetable, leave the house on time, get a ticket, a cup of coffee and a pick a free seat. If you get lucky there's no one around to piss you off and you can concentrate on whatever you like doing on a train ride.
In my case it's reading, writing or staring out of the window, preferrably while listening to music. Today I couldn't bother reading, but I did have a little notebook on my lap, waiting for a lightbulb moment, a genius idea to make me rich, or at least a few words to write down. I pushed the play button and let the Roots inspire me. Black Thought was singing about how he got over and that made me think about all the stuff on my mind.
The train arrived and I was in Bonn. Today I met G1 Hyung & the Kids. He made it home for the holidays, too, and today a bunch of us met. It doesn't happen too often anymore, but every now and then, on occasions like these, we manage to meet up and hang out like we used to. It started as a quiet post christmas get-together, but we somehow ended up twisting and shouting to superfunky sixties tunes.
