Seoul - Day 23

Today I woke up after a night with not much sleep. It was still early and I tried to rest some more, but it wasn't raining and I couldn't sleep anymore. I hate it when the body and the mind aren't cooperating. I might as well start my day early, I thought, and went to Incheon. A friend of mine was holding a couple of boxes full of stuff for me and now I felt like it was time to take care of them. We had lunch and after coffee I pushed my stuff to the post office and parceled it away. Back home I was surprised by the weather holding its shit together, so I grabbed my board and went to skate.

On the way to the station I got another cup of coffee and during the ride I tried to reach some of the guys. Unfortunately, today was Wednesday, a day that most people who have jobs are working on. And so did most of my friends. I rang Phil, but he was busy having meetings, then Seok hyung, but he didn't pick up, and then Kwang hyung, but he was giving an interview for some magazine. And then I ran out of friends who have irregular jobs. So I went to the spot by myself, but just as expected some of the young guns were there and it turned out to be a solid session.

In the evening I went to Achasan to visit another one of my relatives. He's an older cousin, has his own family, and they invited me over for dinner. His kids call me uncle and I have trouble getting used to it. It's weird. It makes me feel old. And by old I don't mean age, but the fact that I don't have a job, don't have a house, don't have a wife and kids. I know that all that should probably be reasons to feel rather young, but somehow it had the opposite effect on me. Hard to explain.
