I woke up
because I heard somebody come down the stairs. We all crashed on the
floor in the living room, only the girls had beds in their rooms
upstairs. We must've left the aircondition on, because it was
freezing cold in the morning. First thing was to get a boiling hot shower to get
back to life. Next thing was brewing some coffee and as the smell of
the black good rose into my nostrils I slowly let go of last night and
began to greet the new day.
Soon
everybody got up and got ready for the river. They have three or four
boats operating at the same time, sometimes pulling riders and sometimes
hysterically screaming girls on different types of rubber
entertainment rides, such as the Peanut Boat or the Crazy Water
Octupus Dragon. I've tried wakeskating in Brühl and in Thailand,
I've tried surfing in Bali, but this was yet another new experience.
It turnes out, being pulled by a motor boat on a river is a lot
different to being pulled by a motorized cable on an artificial lake.
After a firey
Dakdoritang lunch we took off and headed back to Seoul. A few minutes
on the road and it started raining super hard. We had to drive
slowly, but I kind of enjoyed the sound of the raindrops crashing
down on us and making the windows look like modern art. I thought
about all the rain and must have fallen asleep. When I looked out the
window again we were in Seoul already. I rubbed my eyes and the last
two days suddenly felt like a dream I just woke up from. What an
amazing little journey.
