Seoul - Day 14

It was a long night and for lunch I met up with Seok hyung, Kwang hyung and 109 hyung. We met in a part of Seoul that was new to me, somewhere in the south. It's a clean and quiet area, probably expensive, and the hyungs told me that they knew a Donkassu place that would blow my mind. It was in the basement of an old department store kind of building and it wasn't a lie. First they serve a cream soup appetizer and then comes the real deal. I had a Cheese Donkassu and it was amazing.

After the more than hearty meal we went to a local burger joint to grab some coffee and plan our days. The hyungs were going to go skate and I had some other stuff to take care of. Plus, my board was all the way back home, it would have taken me at least two hours just to grab it and come back. And with the weather being so edgy these days I had to put my foot down and stay off the streets today. Instead I decided to work on a new translation and run some other errands.

Man, I can't believe it's August already. July was pretty eventful. Sure, it moved slow at the beginning, but the time in Seoul has been rushing by like a thunderstorm. I'm skating so much and meeting so many great people, every single day is packed with awesome things to do. The thing is though, when you're in a place as exciting and fast forward as Seoul, and your stay is limited to only a few weeks so that the end of the journey is always in sight, everything has a bittersweet aftertaste.
