We got home in the morning and somehow managed to each find a decent spot to sleep. After some four hours of rest we woke up from an alarming phone and got ready one by one. I got up and was sitting at the desk to check my emails when I realized that Björn had spent the night on the floor in the hallway of his own home, while the rest of us had slept comfortably on real matresses. I've seen some very strange host behaviourisms before, but that was really something.
Since I was in the north of Germany I thought I might try to get in touch with my old friend Durie. She's probably one of the most busiest people I know, and I was surprised to get a hold of her right away. After packing and getting ready Tobs and Björn went to a funsports festival called the Extreme Playgrounds, Robbi picked up some other friends and drove back home, Lukas headed back down south as well, and I went to the train station and took the 14:38 to Bremen.
Durie and I have known each other for almost ten years now. It's hard to believe, but it's true. We even studied together for a few years. There have been plenty of good times and we've witnessed each other grow into
real people. Well, at least I've changed a lot over the years, whereas she always kind of knew what she wanted. Anyways, we didn't have much time to talk today, but I'm more than glad that we could at least have some coffee together.
After the festival Tobs and Björn came to Bremen to pick me up at the station. I said goodbye to Durie and got in the back seat of the mini van. On our way home we shared our stories and laughed about this weekend's many little anecdotes. I felt so comfortable that I soon fell asleep and before I knew it we were close to Cologne again. We dropped off Björn at his place, then drove to Brühl where Tobs got off. And at last he handed me the keys and I was home about half an hour later.
