Bali - Day 9

Today Tobs and Tom rented motorbikes. Nicole was kind enough to lend me hers this morning and so the three of us went for a quick ride. But we only drove a few kilometers, from Jalan Yudistira to the nearby Carrefour to get some groceries. We parked our rides in the basement and went to the shopping area. On the first floor they have an arcade and I couldn't help but scan it before we went on.

Of course I was looking for Time Crisis 2. They had it standing in the back. Poor thing. It was patiently waiting to be played. Only the left one of the two monitors was on and it looked like it was half sleeping. Maybe it was tired from an excessive session by a long-time addict like me, who doesn't even start to play when he's unprepared. I let it sleep, today didn't seem like a Time Crisis day.

After we finished our shopping we went for a burger at A&W. I've had worse before, but it was far from good. The beef was dry, the salad too wet, the bread was actually okay, but a burger doesn't score with the bread, right? Very importantly, it wasn't worth the money. After our snack Tom became antsy and decided to go home to deliver the goods. Tobs and I went back to the first floor.

Virtua Cop 3 was the next best thing. We let down our backpacks and stretched our arms for preparation. The "EASY" mode was easy indeed, we shot our way through "NORMAL" and finally ran out of lives in stage three of "HARD". Still, we had a good run. We elbow-high-fived on well-aimed shots and turbo-triggered all the Endgegners. I laughed so hard, it felt like 1999 all over again. Good times.
