Resolutions, why not?

I find it amazing how traveling makes you think about all kinds of stuff. Even fundamental stuff like, what if I'd been born somewhere else? How would my life had changed? Often people wish they were somewhere else in life. But it's hard to imagine to actually live somewhere else. I think that's a big reason why I like traveling so much. It makes me rethink some stuff and opens my eyes on new stuff. Plus, you get to talk to strangers and meet people from all kinds of places. It's inspiring.

I also feel like, in the past few years, I've been traveling a lot less than before. Sure, I had stuff to do and no money. But still, there have been oportunities that I've just missed. There was also a certain plane that I've missed, but that's another story.

I thought about making it yet another resolution for 2011, to leave Germany once every month. Now, I know it sounds a bit crazy and also highly cash-consuming, but Germany is actually located pretty well for a plan like that. So even with the low budget that I have it should be possible to at least jump on a train to the Netherlands if nothing else comes up. You know what? I might really do this. Alright, hereby I'm making this an official resolution for this year. Along with

- Start a blog and post something every day

- Read enough books to make the pile of finished ones equal my height (yeah I know... but I'm a slow reader, so it really is a tough competition)

- Drink at least half a litre of water every day (sounds easy, but I generally prefer coffee or anything else with flavor)

I actually had some more, but I already failed one of them in the first week and another one in Helsinki, so I'll postpone them to next year.

Yeah, it's actually kind of late to talk about resolutions. Usually I don't even make any, because first of all, why wait for something till the beginning of the next year, and second of all, frankly I don't see myself stick to  any of them. But this year I made some and I don't know, why not give it a shot? Well, at least I'm glad that I started this blog now. So, thanks for reading and, I'll let you know about the resolutions throughout the year.
