Busan - Day 3.

Yesterday we were too late for the book stores, today we were too early for the Gukje Market. Most of the stores were just opening up. Sleepy-looking shop owners put their clothes on display as we walked through the narrow alley ways. Our train was leaving in the early afternoon, so we didn't have much time on our hands. We made a huge round and checked out as many shops as possible.

For lunch we picked a restaurant that must've been operating for at least a thousand years. You know how when you've been in the same place for too long, you kind of loose track of time? You add things over the years, but you grow so familiar with the sight of them that they look super natural. That's what happened to this place. Stepping through the door was like entering a long-forgotten time.

We left Busan with an uncompleted list of things to do, and I bet there's tons of other spots that we don't even know about yet. But it was a great trip, another beautiful journey with Sumin and we made promises to come back. Probably when it's a little warmer so we can spend some time at the beach. It wasn't my first time here, but I feel like it was the first time I finally caught a glimpse of the city.
