What's Really Important

It's a beautiful day, birds are singing and clouds are floating, but for some reason I keep narrowing my eyebrows. What happens when you're on your way to work and all you can think about is the best way to tell your superior that you want to quit? You start calculating cash and hours. You start weighing necassity against virtue against peace of mind.

You know, some relationships work out, and some don't. That's the beginning of my speech that I started preparing in my head on the bus ride this morning. As a second job, this right here takes up too much time of my day. The hours are not what we had agreed on at the beginning. Don't get me wrong, I actually like the job, and I really do. But, you know.

I mean, the people are awesome, fun to be around and mostly fun to work with, too. The duties of the given position I'm fine with, and as far as I know I delivered alright. The conditions are good, too. Start at ten, get a lunch break and free coffee. The payment is ok, I guess, but that's not important. What's important is that you don't forget what's really important.
