Second of All

For several nights I've been sleeping on the floor, and this morning I woke up feeling dreadful, like run over by a fleet of angry elephants. That's when I decided to buy a mattress. I know, buying a mattress is not necessarily a luxury question like, do I really need another pair of diamond shoes?, but until now I was okay without one. There was no urgency to speak of.

And then came the elephants. So I started searching the web, looking for mint used ones in this area, which quickly uncovered the matter of transportation, and then shops that do deliveries, which would take at least two more nights. No, I needed one right now, hence the urgency. So I went to the huge Lotte Mart next to the station, but that too remained fruitless.

It's amazing what they do have, though. All kinds of crap that is. But not one decent substitute for a Sultan or an Ace Bed. Time was running out and I could almost hear the stomping herd running towards my sleep. If you think about it, proper sleep is quite important, for body and mind. Waiting for my friend who I met for dinner, I thought about all the beds that I ignorantly took for granted.
