Things to Find On a Walk

The sun is out, the cold is gone - it's time for a walk. I think I've mentioned it before, but I never considered myself much of a walk-a-lot person. I'm still not quite as passionate about it as some of my friends, but I sure do enjoy a leisurey wander session. I mean, when you say 'walking' a few times too often it starts to sound like a real thing, like running or cycling.

But what I'm talking about here is frankly none of that. I don't have extra walking gear or anything. No, what I mean is simply putting one foot in front of the other in order to get places. And to be perfectly honest, at first I did it to save money and I found it super boring, but now I really got to like it. And what's so great about it? You find stuff. And here's my top five things to find on a walk.

1. Manual pads, ledges and gaps. Skateboarders look at the streets differently.
2. Used-book stores. Finding a good book for a better price is always great.
3. A valuable idea. Often you come up with original thoughts while walking.
4. Independent coffee shops with comfortable seating and reasonable prices.
5. New old appreciation. Seeing clouds, hearing birds - sometimes you forget.
