It's a beautiful day and it seems like forever since I've walked this way - from Mornington Crescent to Russell Square. I'm on my way to school and I enjoy the stroll. I left home a little early, for no particular reason. But it's nice to have a few extra minutes on my feet. That way I can pay attention to what's going on. But except for a shady looking construction site near Euston Station everything looks the same.
I look left and check out a little park where a dog is playing with a huddle of leafs. What a life that must be, the life of a dog. Probably not easy with all the sniffing and peeing all the time. And aging, my god, think about all the years that you'd loose. Eager to seize my day I walk on and reach the big junction at the end of Eversholt Street. Traffic is insane as always, but for some reason I kind of like it today.
Of course, I come late to class, almost ten minutes, but fortunately for me the teacher hasn't arrived yet, either. It's fun to meet my classmates again after the three week winter break. We talk about translating an English translation of L'etranger by Camus into Korean. It's not easy, but it was sort of fun working on it. I did it this morning. I thought things would change in the second term, but so far everything seems the same.
