The past few days have been freezing cold. Temperatures suddenly dropped from thirteen to four degrees. It's a cold that I don't find appropriate at all. I mean, Christmas is over and forgotten, and the new year has long begun, isn't it time for spring now? I know, it's only January, but still. Cold weather, I think, generally doesn't apply to my nature. It's so inconvenient. Skating becomes more difficult, walking looses its charm, and taking the tube is just one packed hassle.
The last time I went out to skate, it was plain awkward. I believe that it partly had to do with my new shoes (I had to replace my old awesome pair of suedes for these new stiff nubuk ones, nice but still uncomfortable), but the main reason is, I have to admit, that I haven't been skating much these days. School would be a good excuse, but I'm not sure that alone is it. Lack of motivation definitely plays a huge role. It would be different if I wouldn't have to push the streets alone.
Now, last Friday Cha Cha hyung arrived in London and I hope that things are about to change. He's a friend from Korea who used to live in Pusan and Seoul before he recently moved southwest and became Mokpo's finest. In London he's going to stay for close to a month, a time during which I hope to hang out and skate with him as much as possible. I'm sure there's plenty of spots in the city to discover. Let's see what we can find. Streets of London, here we come.
