Paris - Day 6.

Last day in Paris. I met Bosccono at Louis Blanc, and together we met Nanook at the Opera. One more time we took a walk through the second arrondissement and found our way to a Japanese restaurant. It was a nice place - clean interieur, open kitchen - and people were queing up to get in. So did we, but it didn't take longer than fifteen minutes before we got a table. We got ramen, curry, dumplings and a jampong. So good.

After our meal we got dessert from a Japanese bakery slash coffee shop around the corner. They had all kinds of pastry goods, a lot of them with green tea flavour. We ordered coffee and a green tea tiramisu plus a strawberry muffin. The place was packed, but we got three seats along the window. Looking outside onto a parisienne rue is different to watching a london street. It's the same principle, but it's so much different.

Our last stop was a street fashion shopping mall close to the Opera. It had four floors and carried many kool brands. I was intrigued to spend money all over the place, a cap or two from this shop, a nice jacket from that shop, shoes and more shoes from every corner of the building. But at the end I saw reason and didn't buy anything. Sadness. Before we left we took pictures in the photo box automat, such a fun souvenier.

And then it was already time to take off. We said our good-byes and Bosccono and I took a train to Gare du Nord as the sun was setting over Paris. We still had time, so we got coffee and a croissant snack. Thinking about the last couple of days made me sad. Sad because it was an amazing trip. The image that I had of Paris got polished and has now changed to a whole different picture. A vivid picture full of colourful inspiration and massive motivation.
